2012 Season is Here!
This past Saturday was opening night at the South Bend Motor Speedway. DFR brought out the three great looking machines of Kevin Sr., Derek and Drew. The weather was great, and there was a pit full of race cars. Qualifying saw Derek qualify his number #18 machine 3rd quick while Kevin Sr. was 4th quick on the night. The heat races saw Drew race his number #81 machine to the lead and take the checkered flag only to go over his time and be relinquished to 5th. The second heat saw Kevin Sr.have the right front rotor on the #8 machine break and sending the car into the #93 car ultimately ending Kevin's night. Derek finished finished the heat in 4th. The feature was another race of mixed results. Drew lead the race early while Derek was racing his way to the front, but Derek suffered mechanical issues ending his race early. Drew did manage to carry the DFR banner on the evening bringing his car home in 4th! DFR would like to thank all of the sponsors that came on board for the 2012 season, and we invite you to join us next weekend as DFR looks to chase the checkered flag once more at the high banks and bright lights of the South Bend Motor Speedway.
